The Rocking Donkey essay

Imagine your father dead and having to live with your step-mother that is very wealthy and doesn’t spend any of her money on herself, or your family. In this story Esmeralda’s step-mother just spends all of her money on businesses and fundraisers or even donates their own stuff, and barely invests in their own family’s needs. Esmeralda’s wicked step-mother also donated Esmeralda’s only friend (a rocking horse) to a museum, would you have of said something about it? This story is a unrealistic romance that will fulfill your fantasy needs.

“The Rocking Donkey” is a definite romance because a romance is unrealistic. The unrealistic part in the story was that the rocking horse could fly and it could move it’s head, not only that it could talk too! The next thing to a romance is a mild conflict, the conflict is how the step-mother would never spend any money on their family’s needs. After the mild conflict there is a life symbolism, the life symbolism is when the rocking horse flew away with Esmeralda and then they were never seen again. Those were all the things to a romance.

Mrs. Mitching (Esmeralda’s step-mother) was a wannabe nice lady that donated, opened up businesses and many other things trying to make her seem like a nice lady figure in the outside world, but she wasn’t too nice in the family. Mrs. Mitching would always discriminate about what Esmeralda wore, but it was Mrs. Mitching’s fault because she would never buy Esmeralda clothes, plus she didn’t even give Esmeralda a school education when Mrs. Mitching has the money but is too greedy for what she wants to spend it on. On top of that Esmeralda had no friends only a rocking horse, and Esmeralda never had a toy until she got the rocking horse, and the rocking horse she got wasn’t even bought from her step-mom it was a guy named Lord Mauling that gave Esmeralda some coins and told her to go buy something with the coins, and she ended up buying a rocking horse (her first toy she ever owned). Overall Mrs. Mitching shouldn’t even raise a child.

The purpose of “The Rocking Donkey” is that if you have a child you need to take response ability for your child and grow up or your child might end up running away like Esmeralda did, probably not likely to happen only if you were to totally neglect them. The other purpose is to actually spend time with your child and give them a education so they can get somewhere in life.

This story just proves why you should hangout with your children to keep them happy because a kid needs someone to care for them, depending on their age they cannot survive by themselves.
