I quickly sprinted to the other side of the street, hoping for dear life they would notice me. But they did, I ran right into one of Tony Sparano's men. The man was a stocky guy, about 6'3, with his hair slicked back wearing shades. I was nervous, hoping the man wouldn't take me and make me talk to Tony one on one. I guess I was wrong, he viciously grabbed me by the arm, I tried to fight back but the guy was too big. But I kept trying and trying until the man took out a small handgun and pointed it right at me, hiding his gun in front of his stomach so no one would she the gun. I gave up, he took me to his all black Cadillac Escalade and threw me in the back seat where I saw two other guys. The two men looked exactly like the guy that attacked me but had different hair styles. They didn't say a word to me, then I looked at the front where the driver was, and in the passenger seat it was him, Tony Sparano, the man who I owe $10,000 for immigrating me illegally into the USA from Italy.
He said in a stern voice, "When am I going to get my money, you've owed me for a month now and I'm getting sick and tired of waiting."
I said, "Tony, believe me I will pay you back by tomorrow."
"If you don't pay me back by tomorrow I swear you won't make it through the day without living."
I gulped, "Don't worry you'll get the money by tomorrow, I swear it."
"Alright then, get out my car and get my money back, don't forget about what I said would happen if you don't pay me back."
"Yes sir, I remember."
"Good."
I left the Vehicle. As they drove away I panicked, not knowing how I would get the money, not knowing if I would live to see the next day and see my family. All I had on me is half as much that owed Tony, which is $5,000. I thought for a moment of how I would get him the money. Then I thought of gambling all my money away for a desperate attempt to easily get the money, but then I thought of the consequences of losing my money, I would either be dead or if he couldn't kill me maybe my family, and I wouldn't let him kill my family for what I did wrong. I guess I would have to gamble my money, that would be the only way to get the money and pay him back by tomorrow.
I then went to the nearest bank and withdrew all my money and went to the casino up the street in Las Vegas (which is where I lived now after I was immigrated from Italy). The Black Jack table, the only game I was most familiar with of how to play. I put all my money on the table.
The dealer asked, "Are you willing to gamble all this money?"
"Yes, yes I am why are you asking?"
"Was just curious because that is a lot of money you put down."
"Like you don't see rich people put down money like that daily at the casino?"
"Yeah I've seen people that have gambled this much, just isn't a everyday thing you know? Well, do you want to play the game or what?"
I said, "Yeah, of course."
The dealer had cashed my money for chips, while he was doing so I kept thinking this game pretty much determines my life. If I lose this I am most likely going to be dead by tomorrow. He passed out my cards. I had a pair of 5's.
The dealer asked, "Hit or stand?"
I nervously said, "Hit."
He passed me the card, It was a king that means I have a 20, so if i were to get a number over a Ace I would lose.
I immediately said, "Stand."
I showed him my cards, which was two 5's and a king. So I had a 20.
The dealer showed me his cards, He had a ace and a king, he won. I went in a depression as he took my chips, I thought to myself I'm a dead man. I walked home thinking of my family that all lived in Italy, the only reason I came to the USA is so I could get a good job that I can make some decent money for my family, not for this. When I went home that night lying in my bed I just said to myself if it is my time it's my time. I kept wishing I could contact my family but I didn't have service to do so. That night I feel asleep in my warm bed thinking of all the good things I had done for my family and what I've risked for them, knowing that my family would always love me for what I've done for them I hadn't been as stressed, I knew I had to man up to my consequences, and that night I had never woke up again.

Papa's Parrot Essay
If you didn’t see your dad for more than a week what would you do? In the story “Papa’s Parrot” Mr.Tillans son barely spent time with his dad for more than a two weeks. Charley’s dad always missed his son, then something happened to Charley that made him want to visit his dad. This story is a comedy that touches you if you don’t hang out with your parents or don’t like them, because you know your parents will always care for you.
“Papa’s Parrot” is definitely a comedy because in the story there is a mild conflict. The mild conflict in the story started right in the beginning of the story, which is the father missed his son (Charley) because his son would never want to visit him or acknowledge his dad cared for him. Once Mr. Tillan went to the hospital his son had to take over the shop. Charley went into the shop and cleaned the place up, his dad’s parrot kept annoying Charley while he was cleaning. Charley knew that the parrot copied everything someone said, and the parrot decided to say, “Where is Charley, I miss him.” Charley then realized that he should visit his dad more often, and this was the life symbolism of the comedy.
This story relates to real life because, when you grow up and get to the teenage stage, you start to not realize how your parents feel about you and kind of just care about yourself and hanging out with friends. As you get older or something happens to your parents you finally start to think about how you act around them. Then you realize everything your parents did for you, such as raise you, spoil you, and love you. After you think of that, you totally change your perspectives around your parents and fell very bad for all the things you did.
The purpose of “Papa’s Parrot” was to spend quality time with your family because they’re not going to be around forever. The reason so is because when Charley’s dad went to the hospital, Charley had to take care of the shop. Rocky (the dad’s parrot) copies everything someone says, and while Charley was cleaning the shop the parrot said, “Where is Charley, I miss him.” Charley then thought of how he never use to hang out with his dad around the shop or any place else, and felt horrible, then decided he should spend more quality time with his father.
This story just proves why you should hang out with your parents, not saying everyday and not have a social life and make friends. But don’t always just care about your feelings because you probably won’t get along with your parents and your parents care about you, and imagine how they feel when you are being mean and ignoring them for so long.
